SIiemens LME7X Burner Controller are used for the startup and supervision of multistage or modulating forced draft burners and atmospheric gas burners in intermittent operation
- The fuel-air ratio can be set either via an air damper actuator - acting on mechanical or pneumatic ratio control - or via pulse width modulated fans and pneumatic ratio control.

Siemens LFS Burner Controller Flame safeguard with approval for continuous operation for the supervision of oil flames and gas flames in applications with an ionization probe and a photocell detector RAR9.
- Flame safeguard for intermittent operating mode with UV flame detectors QRA2 / QRA2M / QRA4 / QRA4M / QRA10 / QRA10M.
- LFS1 units are designed for the supervision of oil burners and gas burners in combination with control unit LEC1, burner control LME39.xxxRP, or with programmable logic controllers.
- Typical fields of application range from industrial burners up to the highest security level SIL3 and in the field of ship burners.
Flame supervision:
- Takes place with photocell detector RAR9 with approval for continuous operation,in the case of LFS1.1 (firing on oil).
- Takes place with an ionization probe with approval for continuous operation or with UV flame detector QRA2 / QRA2M / QRA4 / QRA4M / QRA10 / QRA10M in intermittent operation, in the case of LFS1.2 (firing on gas).

Siemens LOK Burner Controller with self-checking flame signal amplifier, for continuously oper- ating multistage or modulating oil or gas burners of medium to high capacity; with air pressure supervision for checked air damper control.
- Burner controls type LOK16... / LGK16... feature a self-checking flame supervision cir- cuit.
- That supervision circuit initiates the required safety actions not only in the case of pre- mature or missing flame signals, but also in the event of any kind of fault on the flame detector, the detector cables or the flame signal amplifier that could simulate a flame signal during burner operation.
- The burner controls are therefore suited for use in all types of oil- or gas-fired combus- tion plants where self-checking flame supervision systems are either mandatory or rec- ommendable:
- Burners that operate continuously
- Burners in intermittent operation that, in the case of great heat demand, may oper- ate continuously for more than 14 hours, e.g. in plants using boiler sequencing
- Burners that need to comply with the German TRD 411 and TRD 412 regulations for steam boilers
- Burners in plants where, for specific safety requirements, supervision of the burner by a self-checking flame supervision system seems advisable
- The control sequence and the connection circuitry of the LOK16... / LGK16... burner controls are identical to those of the LAL2... and LFL1... respectively (with the exception of type LFL1.148), so that existing combustion plants can also be equipped with self-checking burner controls, provided very good flame detector current values are measured in the plant supervised so far by the LFL1..., and provided the following types of flame detectors are either installed or can sub- sequently be fitted:
